Two groups of women with arrested gestation have been followed up. Bleeding-preventing therapy was given to 146 women (Group 1) and was limited or withheld in 82 women (Group 2). The hemostasis was examined before and after the therapy: procoagulation platelets, fibrinolysis and coagulation inhibitors. The preventive therapy directed toward the prevention of uterine hypotonia and correction of the hemostasis reduced the risk and severity of uterine bleedings in arrested gestation.
