AIM
The aim of this study was to explore older women's experience of domestic abuse and its effect on their health and lives.
METHOD
A qualitative research design was used and data were collected using in-depth interviews with 16 participants.
FINDINGS
The consequences of domestic abuse for older women have a significant effect on their long-term health and emotional wellbeing.
CONCLUSION
There are little available data about older women and domestic abuse. This is increasingly being recognised as a significant deficit in awareness and understanding in society as a whole, and more particularly for those responsible for support and care provision.
目的
本研究旨在探讨老年女性遭受家庭虐待的经历及其对她们健康和生活的影响。
方法
采用定性研究设计，通过对16名参与者进行深入访谈收集数据。
结果
家庭虐待对老年女性的后果对她们的长期健康和情感幸福有重大影响。
结论
