[The prevention of alveolar hydatid disease in the Koryak Autonomous Okrug].

The epidemic situation in the area is assessed. In 1988, 3587 persons have been examined for alveococcosis, using immunological tests. In 322 of them (9%) indirect hemagglutination tests turned out to be positive. Successful prevention of alveococcosis in the area is associated with complex measures on the early diagnosis, treatment and prevention of the disease and the improvement of the material basis of the Centre for alveococcosis control.
