Abstract
Physician Assistants (PA) are licensed medical practitioners in the United States who practice in the various specialties. According to 2008 PA Census, approximately one quarter of the PA's practice in the surgery or other surgical sub-specialties. In this article, surgical PA's role, influence, and effectiveness as well as outlook of surgical PA utilization will be examined.
