[Instrumentation for programmed controlled abdominal lavage].

Programmed controlled lavage of the abdominal cavity produced promising results in severe forms of generalized peritonitis with polyorganic insufficiency. The abdominal cavity was closed and opened by means of a special device containing a rack-screw mechanism, blades with pins, and clamps, which makes the operative techniques much easier. The device allows closure of the abdominal cavity to be performed in one stage and for a long duration.
