OBJECTIVE
Nonpuerperal uterine inversion is a rare but serious condition which is often associated with polypoid benign or malignant tumors of the uterus. Timely diagnosis and intervention may prevent long-term sequelae.
METHODS
This report presents an unusual case of nonpuerperal uterine inversion which was diagnosed 14 months after an uneventful vaginal delivery, the longest period of time reported in world literature.
RESULTS
The patient was successfully treated for uterine inversion and was discharged home in good condition.
CONCLUSION
Nonpuerperal uterine inversion can be successfully treated in a low-resource environment, but may require utilization of elements from several standard techniques before reversion is accomplished.
目的
非产褥期子宫内翻是一种罕见但严重的病症，常与子宫息肉样良性或恶性肿瘤相关。及时诊断和干预可预防长期后遗症。
方法
本报告介绍了一例非产褥期子宫内翻的罕见病例，该病例在一次正常阴道分娩14个月后被诊断出来，这是世界文献报道中最长的时间间隔。
结果
该患者子宫内翻得到成功治疗，出院时状况良好。
结论
非产褥期子宫内翻在资源匮乏的环境中也可成功治疗，但在完成复位之前可能需要综合运用多种标准技术的要素。
