[Self-education in the system of postgraduate training of physicians].

A brief analysis is made of the importance of physician self-training in the process of upgrading their skills and maintaining the professional competence at the proper level. Emphasis is being placed on the necessity of creating corresponding organizational structures for the control of effectiveness and providing assistance to physicians engaged in self-training.
