Mandibular body defects 0.5 to 4.5 cm long were eliminated in 33 patients. Fracture edges were brought together to meet by means of compression distraction apparatus; when the surfaces were congruent, they were compressed. 10-12 days later distraction was started at a rate of 0.25 mm 4 times a day. Bone and soft tissue defects were replaced in the course of distraction. Soft tissue insufficiency that usually prevents free osteoplasty in this case favors local tissue osteoplasty.
33例患者的下颌体部0.5至4.5厘米长的缺损得以修复。通过加压牵张装置使骨折断端对合;当表面平整时,进行加压。10 - 12天后,以每天4次、每次0.25毫米的速度开始牵张。在牵张过程中,骨与软组织缺损得到修复。在这种情况下,通常会妨碍游离骨成形术的软组织不足有利于局部组织骨成形术。
