Abstract
The incidence and pathological features of the various tumours arising from salivary glandular tissues are described in the light of the World Health Organization classification of these tumours. The modern concepts relating to their histogenesis are outlined and some of the difficulties which may be encountered in their histological diagnosis are also discussed.
