The congenital club-foot is one of the frequent malformations (incidence around 2%). The treatment during early childhood implies conservative measures with corrective manipulations and casting, surgical procedures with extensive soft tissue releases. The technically demanding medial release is a well established procedure; however it is often not performed because the peritalar malpositions are often underestimated in the young child. After surgical correction stabilization of the foot for prolonged time is important and follow-up is mandatory until adulthood is reached.
