To observe the mobility of levator veli palatini muscle during speech in patients with repaired cleft palate and cleft lip.
MRI of the levator veli palatini muscle was taken during speech and breathing in three groups of patients: control group (cleft lip only, 8 cases), velopharyngeal incompetence (VPI) group (7 cases), velopharyngeal competence (VPC) group (10 cases). The length and the angle of the levator veli palatini muscle were compared.
The changes of the length and the angle during speech were not significantly different among the three groups (P > 0.05). The ratio of length changes when speaking "a", "i", and "m" are (13.5 ± 11.7)%, (11.1 ± 10.8)%, (8.2 ± 14.3)%. Mean angle of pronouncing "a", "i", and "m" are [(43.18 ± 4.984)°, (43.08 ± 4.879)°, (39.48 ± 5.046)°]. The levator veli palatini muscle contracted progressively form "m", "i", to "a".
The mobility of the levator veli palatini muscle in patients with repaired cleft palate and cleft lip only is basically the same.
观察唇腭裂修复术后患者软腭提肌在言语过程中的活动情况。
对三组患者在言语和呼吸过程中进行软腭提肌的磁共振成像(MRI)检查:对照组(仅唇裂,8例)、腭咽闭合不全(VPI)组(7例)、腭咽闭合功能正常(VPC)组(10例)。比较软腭提肌的长度和角度。
三组之间在言语过程中长度和角度的变化无显著差异(P>0.05)。发“a”“i”“m”音时长度变化率分别为(13.5±11.7)%、(11.1±10.8)%、(8.2±14.3)%。发“a”“i”“m”音时的平均角度分别为[(43.18±4.984)°、(43.08±4.879)°、(39.48±5.046)°]。软腭提肌从发“m”音到发“i”音再到发“a”音逐渐收缩。
单纯唇腭裂修复术后患者软腭提肌的活动情况基本相同。
