The authors presented results of the study of antihypertensive therapy for patients of elderly and senile age in the hospital, an assessment of the efficiency of the control of arterial hypertension in a clinical practice is given in the article. The article presents the most effective combinations of antihypertensive agents, their pharmacoeconomic assessment and rational scheme of antihypertensive treatment for the patients of this age category.
