The paper reports data regarding dental caries in deciduous and permanent teeth in a sample population of 1015 pupils aged between 5 and 15, resident in the mountain community of the Chisone and Germanasca Valleys. The DMF index was significantly high, especially if one takes into account that the partial findings referring to '89 are virtually unchanged in comparison to '87.
