Molluscum contagiosum is a common disease of the skin caused by a virus of the pox group, most commonly seen in children. The lesion is very rare in the oral cavity, since review of the English literature revealed only 5 documented cases. Oral lesions have no pathognomic clinical picture and may cause diagnostic problems.
