Abstract
Using an Obwegeser-Dalpont sagittal mandibular cleavage technique, the author uses plate and screw fixation to free the buccal cavity and obtain a stable result by splinting of the bone bases in an occlusal or hypercorrected position while allowing the possibility of associated procedures for functional or cosmetic purposes.
