In the title compound, {Nd(NO(3))(C(6)H(5)NO(2))(2)(H(2)O)(3)(2)·H(2)O}(n), the Nd(III) atom is nine-coordinated by four O atoms from four pyridinium-4-carboxyl-ate ligands, two O atoms from a chelating nitrate anion and three water mol-ecules in a distorted tricapped trigonal-prismatic coordination geometry. Adjacent Nd atoms are linked by the bidentate pyridinium-4-carboxyl-ate ligands into a chain running along the b axis. The chains are further connected by O-H⋯O and N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds into a three-dimensional network.
