The authors discuss the problem of diagnostics, treatment and remote results in patients with carcinoma of the gastric stump. Operations were performed on 387 of 552 patients having malignant tumours of the stomach. Carcinoma of the gastric stump was found in 21 patients. Radical operations were fulfilled in 12 patients (with one lethal outcome). Five-year survival after radical operations was noted in 2 patients.
