[The effectiveness of the combined treatment of enuresis].

The effect of therapeutic measures was assessed for 229 enuresis children aged 3-14 (160 boys and 69 girls). Neurotic form of the disease was in 71, primary neurosis-like in 121, secondary neurosis-like in 37 patients. All the children underwent combined treatment involving prolonged reflexotherapy with 25% silver nitrate solution associated with differentiated drug, dieto- and psychotherapy. The efficacy of the treatment was found to be higher in neurotic enuresis (cure in 85.9%) and reduced in primary neurosis-like one (in 71.1%). Age-adjusted comparison showed higher effect for age 3-6 years (92.2%), lower for 7-11 years (61.9%) suggesting the necessity of early treatment onset.
