Facial trauma occurs relatively often in traffic accidents, work accidents, and aggression, causing repercussions in the functionality of the structures involved. Infectious processes require early and accurate diagnosis because they can progress quickly, leading to unexpected complications, or because of the severity of the infections themselves.
