The authors report on 15 patients operated on for nonparasitic cysts of the liver. The discussion of the methods has shown ultrasonography to be of greatest informative value. Patients with nonparasitic cysts of small size should be dynamically observed, those with middle-size and large cysts should be treated by surgical methods consisting in resection of the cyst or resection of the liver with multiple and complicated cysts. Results of the operation were quite satisfactory.
