[Blocking metal-polymer osteosynthesis of the tibia in diaphyseal fractures of the crural bones].

The article presents indications, technique, specific methods of postoperative management and results of the blocking metallic-polymer osteosynthesis of diaphyseal fractures of the tibial bone. The method was used in operations on 42 patients aged from 17 to 76. In the postoperative period no plaster immobilization was used. All the patients have shown adhesion and recovery of the function of the extremity after operation within 2-3.5 months.
