PURPOSE
The aim of this study was to compare the cost-effectiveness of two breast biopsy procedures: surgical biopsy and vacuum-assisted biopsy (VAB).
MATERIALS AND METHODS
Between November 2008 and September 2009, 200 patients with suspicious breast lesions underwent biopsy procedures at our radiology department: 100 underwent VAB and 100 underwent surgical biopsy. 66 lesions were sampled under sonographic guidance, 109 under mammographic guidance and 25 under magnetic resonance guidance.
RESULTS
All procedures were successfully completed. No significant differences in diagnostic efficacy were found between the biopsy procedures. Surgical biopsy has a higher unit cost compared with VAB.
CONCLUSIONS
Our analysis emphasises the benefits of VAB compared with surgical biopsy in terms of both cost-effectiveness, and less invasiveness from a psychological and aesthetic point of view.
目的
本研究旨在比较两种乳腺活检方法的成本效益：手术活检和真空辅助活检（VAB）。
材料与方法
2008 年 11 月至 2009 年 9 月，我院放射科对 200 例有可疑乳腺病变的患者进行了活检：100 例行 VAB，100 例行手术活检。其中 66 例在超声引导下采样，109 例在乳腺 X 线摄影引导下采样，25 例在磁共振引导下采样。
结果
所有手术均成功完成。两种活检方法在诊断效果上无显著差异。手术活检的单位成本高于 VAB。
结论
我们的分析强调了 VAB 相对于手术活检在成本效益方面的优势，同时从心理和美学角度来看，VAB 的侵袭性更小。
