Thirty multibacillary patients (12 LL, 18 BL) were historically reviewed and clinically assessed for evidence of testicular involvement. The bacterial index (BI) of the patients ranged from 1+ to 6+; the morphological index (MI), from 0% to 3%. Nine (30%) patients had oligospermia, while acid-fast bacilli (AFB) were demonstrable in the semen of 3 (10%) patients (2 LL, 1 BL). There was a significant correlation between the BI and the demonstration of AFB in semen (p less than 0.01).
对30例多菌型患者（12例LL型，18例BL型）进行了回顾性研究，并对其睾丸受累情况进行了临床评估。患者的细菌指数（BI）范围为1+至6+；形态学指数（MI）为0%至3%。9例（30%）患者有少精子症，3例（10%）患者（2例LL型，1例BL型）精液中可检测到抗酸杆菌（AFB）。BI与精液中AFB的检测之间存在显著相关性（p<0.01）。
