Rat sciatic nerves were employed to investigate the influence of adrenaline on the onset time for anaesthetic blockade induced by 2 per cent lignocaine HCl. The addition of adrenaline at three concentration levels to 2 per cent lignocaine HCl solutions delayed the onset time for conduction blockade.
