Although modern developments in dentistry constrict the indication of removable partial dentures, there is still a number of situations in which a partial denture may contribute to the re-establishment of function, esthetics included. Choice of the artificial teeth (material), the handling of the acrylic and an adequate anchoring are all important factors in reaching an optimal result.
