Accreditation. Procedures and staff support for the Surgery Residency Review Committee.

The purpose of this article is to give an overview of the accreditation procedures of the Residency Review Committee for Surgery and provide insight into the nature and functions of staff support for the committee. In the process, a better understanding of how the Residency Review Committee itself carries out its tasks should also emerge. What is described here is specific to the Residency Review Committee for Surgery and should not be generalized to other residency review committees.
