During times of change there can be danger, but also opportunity. Such is the case now for physician leaders. Physicians are needed in numerous leadership positions as the healthcare system is reformed, and new roles for physicians emerge on a regular basis. If physicians want to succeed, they will need to learn new skills and acquire more knowledge. They may even want to obtain an advanced degree in order to maximize their effectiveness. Carpe diem!
