The asymmetric unit of the title compound, Mg(H(2)O)(6)(2)·4H(2)O, contains one half of the centrosymmetric dication, one anion and two water mol-ecules. The Mg(II) ion is coordinated by six water mol-ecules in a slightly distorted octa-hedral geometry. In the anion, the two five-membered heterocycles are twisted from the central benzene ring by 4.34 (11) and 3.20 (10)°. In the crystal, O-H⋯N, O-H⋯O and N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds generate a three-dimensional network.
标题化合物Mg(H₂O)₆₂·4H₂O的不对称单元包含中心对称二价阳离子的一半、一个阴离子和两个水分子。Mg(II)离子由六个水分子以略微扭曲的八面体几何构型配位。在阴离子中，两个五元杂环与中心苯环的扭转角度分别为4.34 (11)°和3.20 (10)°。在晶体中，O-H⋯N、O-H⋯O和N-H⋯O氢键形成三维网络。
