Since 1953 systematic compliance-research received an enormous impetus. There is a change in its content too: Compliance depends equally on the attitudes of the doctor or dentist as of the patient. Methods to measure compliance, consequences of poor compliance, and non-compliance are investigated. In stomatology Compliance is important in order to secure progress and results of the therapy, but especially so as to motivate the patient's preventive behaviour. This is demonstrated and also given as a reason for the demand of the patient's expectations on the part of the dentist.
自1953年以来，系统的依从性研究获得了巨大的推动力。其内容也发生了变化：依从性同样取决于医生或牙医以及患者的态度。人们对测量依从性的方法、依从性差的后果和不依从性进行了研究。在口腔医学中，依从性对于确保治疗的进展和效果很重要，但尤其对于激发患者的预防行为至关重要。这一点得到了证明，也是牙医要求满足患者期望的一个原因。
