To observe the relationship of childhood benign acanthosis nigricans to anthropometric and metabolic indexes, with the aim of studying the association between childhood benign acanthosis nigricans and metabolic diseases.
A retrospective analysis was performed on the clinical data of 29 children who presented with benign acanthosis nigricans between February 2007 and October 2011. Thirty-two age, sex- and ethnic-matched normal children were selected as control group. The two groups were compared according to obesity (body mass index, waist-to-hip ratio, body fat content and body fat percentage) and metabolic indexes (blood glucose, insulin level and blood lipids).
Body mass index, body fat content, body fat percentage, waist-to-hip ratio, fasting blood glucose, insulin level and triglyceride in the 29 patients with benign acanthosis nigricans were higher than in the control group (P<0.05), but the level of high-density lipoprotein in the 29 patients was lower than in the control group (P<0.05). Of the 29 patients, 16 had impaired glucose tolerance and 3 were diagnosed with diabetes (1 case with type 1, two cases with type 2).
Childhood benign acanthosis nigricans is closely associated with obesity, insulin resistance and dyslipidemia.
观察儿童良性黑棘皮病与人体测量指标及代谢指标的关系，旨在研究儿童良性黑棘皮病与代谢性疾病之间的关联。
对2007年2月至2011年10月期间出现良性黑棘皮病的29例儿童的临床资料进行回顾性分析。选取32例年龄、性别和种族匹配的正常儿童作为对照组。根据肥胖指标（体重指数、腰臀比、体脂肪含量和体脂肪百分比）和代谢指标（血糖、胰岛素水平和血脂）对两组进行比较。
29例良性黑棘皮病患儿的体重指数、体脂肪含量、体脂肪百分比、腰臀比、空腹血糖、胰岛素水平和甘油三酯均高于对照组（P<0.05），但29例患儿的高密度脂蛋白水平低于对照组（P<0.05）。29例患儿中，16例葡萄糖耐量受损，3例被诊断为糖尿病（1例1型，2例2型）。
儿童良性黑棘皮病与肥胖、胰岛素抵抗和血脂异常密切相关。
