The periodic health examination: age-specific charts. U.S. Preventive Services Task Force.

The periodic health visit is an important opportunity for the delivery of clinical preventive services. Determining the specific preventive services that are most appropriate for inclusion in the periodic health examination was one of the principal objectives of the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force project. This report discusses the recommended content of the periodic health examination. It includes eight tables listing specific preventive services that should be considered for patients in different age groups and for pregnant women.
