A 7-year-old male patient developed palpebral ptosis and paralysis of the extraocular muscles following local anesthetic administration for a major operative procedure on the permanent mandibular left first molar. Complete resolution occurred within approximately 30 minutes. The purpose of this case report was to detail an iatrogenic paresis of the third cranial nerve following local anesthetic delivery on a child patient.
