[The origination of preventive medicine in the process of reforming of practical medicine in XVII-XIX centuries. Report 1. The traditional concepts concerning health preservation and diseases prevention].

The present report is dedicated to short description of complex of concepts concerning issues of "health preservation and diseases prevention" elaborated by Galen and prevailed in medicine during fifteen centuries. The characteristics and main causes of revision of these concepts during the first scientific revolution are discussed.
