At stake is enormous clout at the state and national levels--and a lot of money. Squaring off against the traditional accreditation leader, the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations, are: the National Committee for Quality Assurance, the American Association of Preferred Provider Organizations, and the Utilization Review Accreditation Commission.
