Ten years of experience in the work of specialized pulmonary centre providing care for the population of the region has indicated that during this period it has had a major impact on health care delivery and quality of care for the pulmonary patients. There has been improvement in early diagnosis and outcomes of treatment in patients with pulmonary diseases. The primary invalidism associated with chronic non-specific lung diseases has tended to decrease.
