The authors present the cases of children suffering from acute otitic meningitis in respect of the applied therapy. On the basis of the courses and the dates of the literature the authors recommend the operation only after the unsuccessful antibiotic therapy. They draw attention to the importance of avoiding the growth of the brain pressure appearing during the operation performed in narcosis and to the importance of cooperating among specialists.
