Recurrent intraoral vesicles.

Superficial mucoceles are innocuous, small, clear vesicles that have a predilection for the soft palate, posterior buccal mucosa, and retromolar area. Microscopically, they are subepithelial extravasations of sialomucin that occur at the epithelial connective tissue interface. The clinical features are usually so characteristic that the diagnosis does not require biopsy confirmation. No treatment is required.
