The paper is concerned with the discussion of the problem of standardization of designs of cancer radiotherapy which can be regarded as summarized experience in the formation of optimum dose fields in radiation therapy. The author gives his definition of standard and partially standardized irradiation designs and proposes methods for their definition in practice.
