Abstract

From the stand point occupational hygiene investigations of alveolar retention and particle deposition are of special importance. Determinations of particle size distribution of inhaled dusts have been performed by means of a cascade impactor. The evaluation and graphical presentation were performed by a personal computer. Proposals for further increasing the statement capability were derived (measurement at the workplace of the employee, analysis of the composition of the different particle size fractions).
