For more than 60 years, the French Comprehensive Cancer Centers participate in public hospital service and are exclusively dedicated to the fight against cancer. This article returns on their history, their model, their group strategy with the creation of UNICANCER, their place in French cancer research and treatments today, their contribution to the cancer plans and the challenges and issues they will face in the next 10 years.
