An evaluation of hyperbaric oxygenation (HBO) effects during pregnancy, delivery and puerperium in 150 patients with acquired and congenital heart diseases has shown its efficiency in reducing cardiologic, obstetric and perinatal complications. The maternal and perinatal mortality in patients with heart disease was decreased by HBO, especially when it was used as an adjunct intervention.
