Abstract
Osteoradionecrosis of the mandible following primary or adjuvant radiotherapy of progressive oral and oropharyngeal malignancy is, for the affected patient, a feared and sometimes vitally threatening complication. In the authors' experience, the incidence rate of osteoradionecrosis between 1973 and 1987 was 4.1%, which makes the necessity of the prophylactic efforts described in the present study evident.
摘要
对于罹患进展期口腔及口咽恶性肿瘤而行原发或辅助放疗的患者而言，下颌骨放射性骨坏死是一种可怕且有时会危及生命的并发症。根据作者的经验，1973年至1987年间放射性骨坏死的发生率为4.1%，这表明本研究中所描述的预防性措施很有必要。
