Abstract
Hawaii has enacted legislation pertaining to the AIDS epidemic. This legislation pertains to such areas as HIV testing, informed consent for testing, confidentiality of HIV-related data, quality assurance standards for HIV testing, and requirements pertaining to insurance availability. Physicians in the State should be aware of these legal requirements, particularly as they may affect medical practice in the state.
