To report an unusual case of idiopathic orbital inflammation associated with panuveitis.
We report a case of a 47-year-old female with a history of uveitis who presented with abrupt and painful prop tosis with complete vision loss unresponsive to antibiotic therapy. B-scan ultrasonography and magnetic resonance imaging both showed retinal detachment and an orbital space-occupying mass. The patient underwent orbitotomy and the diagnosis of idiopathic orbital inflammation was confirmed by histopathology. Anterior uveitis is rarely seen in idiopathic orbital inflammation in adults. We report for the first time an unusual case of idiopathic orbital inflammation associated with panuveitis.
Inflammation involving both the eye and the orbit is rarely seen in adults. Idiopathic orbital inflammation and panuveitis may share a similar mechanism in this case.
报告一例与全葡萄膜炎相关的特发性眼眶炎症的罕见病例。
我们报告一例47岁有葡萄膜炎病史的女性患者，其出现突发且疼痛性眼球突出，视力完全丧失，对抗生素治疗无反应。B超和磁共振成像均显示视网膜脱离及眼眶占位性肿块。患者接受了眼眶切开术，组织病理学确诊为特发性眼眶炎症。成人特发性眼眶炎症中很少见前葡萄膜炎。我们首次报告了一例与全葡萄膜炎相关的特发性眼眶炎症的罕见病例。
成人中眼和眼眶同时受累的炎症很少见。在该病例中，特发性眼眶炎症和全葡萄膜炎可能有相似的机制。
