In this study it was shown that fibrin sealant used in eight consecutive patients undergoing their first session of punch hair grafting after sagittal midline excision(s) reduces the hair survival rate by about 2 hairs per graft from 21.74 on the non-glued side to 19.79 on the glued side (p less than 0.01). The authors did not find this sealant beneficial in routine punch hair transplantation but found it to be of some potential value if the grafts are to be left without any dressing immediately postoperatively.
