Abstract

Light promotes the acropetal movement of 2-[(14)C]ABA through root segments of Phaseolus coccineus L. The promotion occurs only when the segments are irradited during the transport period. Red light and blue light are as effective as white light. There is no significant promotion when the segments are irradiated with green light or when they are kept in darkness during the transport period after preceding light treatment. Light has no effect on basipetal ABA-transport.

光照促进2-[(14)C]脱落酸通过菜豆根段进行向顶运输。只有在运输期间对根段进行光照时才会出现这种促进作用。红光和蓝光与白光的效果一样。在用绿光照射根段时,或者在先前光照处理后的运输期间将根段置于黑暗中时,均无明显的促进作用。光照对脱落酸的向基运输没有影响。
