Polyhydramnios associated with a ring chromosome and low maternal serum alpha-fetoprotein levels managed with indomethacin.

A case of polyhydramnios associated with a ring chromosome is described. The condition was also associated with a low maternal serum alpha-fetoprotein level. The polyhydramnios was managed by initial therapeutic amniotic fluid decompression followed by indomethacin, which reduced fetal urine output and prevented reaccumulation of polyhydramnios.
