Thomas Bruce Ferguson, the 12th president of The Society of Thoracic Surgeons, died surrounded by his family on May 26, 2013. He was a legendary figure in the world of cardiothoracic surgery. His visionary leadership was an inspiration to generations of cardiothoracic surgeons around the world.
