Abstract

Following health secretary Jeremy Hunt's rejection of the NHS Pay Review Body's recommendations to give all nurses a 1 per cent pay rise in 2014/15, nearly 330,000 nurses will miss out on the pay award (News April 30). It will be given only to nurses at the top of their pay bands.
