Abstract
The intensive supportive haemotherapy which has to be used in bone marrow transplantation is discussed, taking mainly into account platelet transfusions. Ways to avoid alloimmunizations against platelet antigens, especially HLA-ABC antigens, are shown (use of HLA-AB homozygous donors or of cross-reacting groups).
